About Jane's Joy Project
Jane’s Joy Project is a community outreach program named in memory of Jane Gordon, a very special horsewoman who passed away from cancer in 2023. The horse’s who are part of Jane’s Joy Project will go into the community to do education and to visit those who are housebound or in hospice, and are wishing for a little joy. These horses will act as ambassadors for a different way for horses. To prepare them for this important work, Apple and Jack will be entering into a specialized training program and they are seeking sponsors for their cost of care.

APPLE
Apple joined the Ayla's Equine Herd after being lovingly donated when her guardian became seriously ill. She is currently in training in Vermont, preparing for her future role in the Jane's Joy Project program. A sweet, gentle mini horse with a growing sense of confidence, Apple is learning to be brave as she meets new people, explores new environments, and builds skills for connecting with her community.
Apple’s work will focus on bringing comfort, joy, and meaningful connection to people of all ages, but specifically those who are homebound. If you’d like to follow her journey, consider becoming her sponsor to support her care and receive our quarterly herd updates.

JACK
Jack joined the Ayla's Equine Herd after being lovingly donated when his guardian became very ill. He is currently in training in Vermont, preparing for his future role in the Jane's Joy Project program. A gentle, affectionate mini donkey with a heart full of love, Jack is learning to navigate public environments while building confidence and skills for connecting with the community.
