OUR STORY
Providing Education, Training, and Rehabilitation for Horses in Rescue
Ayla's Equine Revival was founded by Katie Dixon in 2022. After working 15 years in rescue as a trainer, for free and significantly discounted rates, Katie observed that one of the main barriers to adoption was thorough education and training for horses after they were rescued. Many rescues don’t have a large budget for extensive training to address deep rooted behavioral and emotional trauma from their past. Katie’s dream was to fill the educational gab between being rescued and being adopted. From this belief, Ayla’s Equine Revival was born.

WHAT WE DO
At Ayla's Equine Revival (AER), we are dedicated to providing community education, training, rehabilitation, and sanctuary for horses in rescue, through a range of initiatives. Our organization is driven by the passion and support of our community, who share our belief that compassionate, high-quality training, and education will make a positive impact on the lives of the horses. This will increasing their chances of finding loving forever homes, and in-turn, giving them an opportunity to make a positive impact on the humans in their lives.

Ayla's Training School
Here at AER, we believe that every horse deserves access to high quality and compassionate training. Make a lasting impact by sponsoring a horse at Ayla's Equine Revival. Your sponsorship will cover help to cover training equipment, and fund essential care needs, including food, blankets, ferrier, and medical care. Help us give these horses the best chance life. Contact us to learn more about our sponsorship program.

Sanctuary
Even after many training opportunities and a variety of approaches, some horses still find themselves unable to find a space where they can thrive. Here at AER, we also have space for a few horses to live out their days in sanctuary. Please reach out if you are able to sponsor a sanctuary space for a horse!

Crisis Support Services
Everyone faces challenges. At AER, we support horse guardians in crisis by helping manage behavior challenges and keep horses out of rescue. We also partner with rescues to improve herd management and address individual behavior concerns. Virtual consultations available, in partnership with Renegade Equine.

Jane's Joy Project
Jane’s Joy Project is a community outreach program named in memory of Jane Gordon, a very special horsewoman who passed away from cancer in 2023. The horse’s who are part of Jane’s Joy Project will go into the community to visit those who are housebound or in hospice, and are wishing for a little joy. Contact us to learn more about how you can help make a positive impact.

Ways to Give
Your generosity can make a big difference in supporting our mission and in creating the best life for our herd.

AER offers a small variety of merchandise to support the organization and its mission. Additionally, we maintain a "wish list" so that you may give directly to our herd. Finally, AER features horses that need sponsorship, providing an opportunity for supporters to make a direct impact on the lives of these special equines. By purchasing merchandise, donating off our wish list, or sponsoring a horse, or making a general donation, supporters can help AER continue to provide education, training, rehabilitation, and is rare cases sanctuary, for rescue horses.
